On 12 February 1987, six Raed players lost their lives in the crash of the team bus on the road to Touggourt: Mohamed Kab, Saïd Chakir, Abdelkader Saâdi, Hocine Boualdja, Saâdi Guezou and Abderrazak Rouibi.
