In this quarter, Mustapha Benouenniche and his companions founded Riadha Club de Kouba on 28 February 1945. The exact site of the founding headquarters remains to be finely documented.

The municipal stadium (1949) Verified
Opened four years after the club's birth, it becomes its home · and after independence takes the name of the chahid Mohamed Benhaddad, a co-founder of the club.
